Human Rights and Business board game

Lectures for Business students

Since 2007 Aim for human rights offers an optional course for students of the Rotterdam Business school. Within the course, human rights norms for business and the HRCA tools play a central role. On request we offer workshops or lectures for students of other institutes. Aim for human rights can also facilitate the Human Rights and Business Boardgame.

Topics that are dealt with during the course are : corporate social responsibility, international norms and standards for companies, sphere of influence of companies, human rigths and business tools. Besides specific human rights issues for companies are dealt with more in depth: labor conditions and rights of the community. At the end of the course students are expected to do a human rights risk analyses on a company and write a report.

"Ik have the feeling that I have learned a lot a bout human rights in (international) business. I study Trade Management with a focus on Asia and will probably be able to apply what I have learned"
