Launch South African human rights and business tool

On March 18 and 19 the South African version of the Human Rights Compliance Assessment (HRCA) will be launched in Sandton, South Africa. This self-assessment tool assists companies in South Africa in translating human rights into practice. The HRCA is therefore called Masizibheke, 'Let's look at ourselves'. The tool has been developed jointly by Aim for human rights, local organisations and companies and the Danish Institute for Human Rights. The South African counterparts have been united in the Human Rights and Business Project SA, with the African Institute of Corporate Citizenship (AICC) as focal point. Masizibheke is presented during a national stakeholder conference on human rights and business.

Aim for human rights will be present at the conference to promote using the HRCA with companies, together with the African Institute of Corporate Citizenship (AICC).

The aim of the conference is to involve South African companies in human rights issues. The conference has been organised by the National Human Rights Commission and AICC.
