Taking women's rights seriously?
The Dutch network on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination of Women (CEDAW) and NJCM have presented a shadow report to the Supervisory Committee of CEDAW. The shadow report is a reaction to the official government report. It describes Dutch legislation and policy that have to do with women's human rights. The report focuses on the topics: the position of black, migrant and refugee women, the role of the government in emancipation, paid labour and care. Aim for human rights coordinated the writing of the report and gave input on women's human rights in the Dutch foreign policy.
