Chinese publication of Guide to Corporate Human Rights Impact Assessment Tools
Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIA) help companies to analyse whether their policy and practice are in line with human rights norms and principles. A tool, consisting of indicators and questions on human rights, is used for the assessment. The Human Rights Compliance Assessment is an example of such a tool. It helps companies with the (re-) formulation of codes of conduct and with the incorporation of principles of human rights law into its policies. The guide had been previously published in English and now has a Mandarin version as well.
